Signs your newborn is hungry
Many moms wonder how much and how often to feed their babies. The best approach for a baby that is gaining well is to watch for signs of hunger and feed on demand..
Here is a visual for identifying your baby’s late-feeding cues. These cues are a lot more obvious. By this stage the baby is hangry! You may see frantic movement, crying, and their skin may turn red.
It's always better to feed while you are noticing early feeding cues. When a baby is showing late stage feeding cues, it usually takes extra time to calm them down, which further delays the feed. Remember to watch the baby not the clock and feed on demand.
