Infant Occcupational Therapy

  • Body Discomfort

    Addressing Musculoskeletal Challenges

Infants may experience musculoskeletal conditions, such as torticollis (a head-turning or tilting preference) or decreased strength, impacting their ability to move, reach, grasp, and play. Our therapy works on enhancing your baby's muscle strength and coordination to support successful feeding and overall development.

  • Feeding & Oral Function Support

We collaborate with families to solve bottle feeding challenges, like coughing, refusal, twisting away, long feeds, and slow weight gain. Successful feeding requires strong oral motor skills. Our therapy develops the necessary oral motor skills, including exercises to strengthen the muscles of the mouth and jaw and activities to improve the coordination of the tongue and lips.

  • Colic and Regulation

    Sensory Regulation

Some infants may have difficulty regulation/ colic due to sensory issues, such as an overactive gag reflex or difficulty being in certain positions. Our occupational therapy helps regulate your baby's sensory experiences, to make your baby more comfortable.

    Success Stories

Hear from the families we've helped:

"Erica was such a joy to work with while navigating some difficult issues with my baby. My daughter had a tongue and lip tie released and Erica worked with us prior to the procedure to strengthen her oral motor function and help set her up for a successful release. She then showed me how to do the post-op stretches and exercises and equipped me with the tools I needed. Erica followed up with us after the procedure and made sure my daughter was progressing as she should as well as working on strengthening exercises. Erica also helped so much with my pumping journey since I had only exclusively breastfed my first child. She was a huge help and was always available to answer questions and to give advice. I could not have made it through those difficult months of triple feeding my daughter without her help! I was also extremely thankful for her OT help with my daughters motor skills as well as the craniosacral work she did with my daughter. It helped her so much and I could tell such a difference in her on the days when Erica performed the craniosacral therapy and I was so thankful for that service as well. Erica even helped with learning to eat solids when it came time to introduce those. Erica is truly such an amazing resource with her OT and lactation knowledge! We are so grateful for her and all of her help and cannot recommend her enough!
