Tummy Time Class

I'm so excited to announce I'm teaching a mommy and me tummy time class at the Charleston Birth Place! I’m offering a free preview session for those interested in joining the 6 session class. If you are wondering when to start tummy time, how to do tummy time, or how much to do tummy time, then this class is for you! This class is not just about tummy time though, it's the tummy time method!

The Tummytime! Method

The Tummy Time! Method™ is a powerful, whole-body approach to oral function and successful feeding. It uses gravity as an assistant to mobilize and engage baby's face, tongue, jaw, throat, and neck muscles, while helping to unwind baby from physiological flexion or "fetal position". It facilitates the tongue's greatest range of motion, activates reflexes, and helps to free restriction and body tension all things important for infant feeding!

Some babies find tummy time challenging and uncomfortable. Babies with a tongue tie, body tension, torticollis, plagiocephaly, and difficulties feeding specifically benefit from therapeutic tummy time training in order to maximize benefit.

What else does the class include?

  • Tummytime method

  • Infant massage strategies

  • Colic strategies
